Feature overview

Privacy

By default all your data is private and belongs to you. But, if you want to, you can share single activities or an overview of all your activities.

No shared data

We do not share or sell your data. It is very important for us to protect your sensitive activity data. We create internal anonymised evaluations to improve the quality of our prognosis and calculations. But again: We are not interested in selling your data.

Analysis

TRIMP principle

TRIMP is short for Training Impulse and gives you the opportunity to compare activities of different intensity levels based on this value.

Effective VO2max estimation

VO2max is a scientific metric for the maximal oxygen uptake that is highly correlated with your maximal running performance. In addition to common calculators that estimate VO2max based on a race result, we estimate your effective VO2max for every activity based on the relation of your heart rate and pace. For more details, see VO2max.

Prediction

You can choose your favorite model to predict your upcoming race: CPP by Robert Bock, a simple method by Herbert Steffny, calculations by David Cameron or VO2max method.

Prediction based on your shape

Most models predict your race performance based on your personal bests on different distances, but that does not always fit your current shape. Our VO2max estimations can be used to give much more accurate predictions.

Monotony, training strain, stress balance

Additional statistics (based on TRIMP) that warn you of monotonous or too intensive training.

ANOVA tool

Values are visualized with so-called ‘box plots’. They give an impression of how values of a group are distributed. This way of presentation allows to compare not only average values (e.g. pace over months) but deviations and outliers between different groupings.

Trend analysis

The trend analysis tool allows to plot single activity values (e.g. pace, distance, duration, running dynamics, …) for a given period to see how your values evolved. This way you can check the long-term trend of your metrics like cadence or pace.

Climb Score

RUNALYZE will categorize all climbs in your activities and analyze them, from little hills of the 5th category up to mountains of ‘Hors catégorie’ (HC). The classification is based on the FIETS index, that uses length and gradient profile to calculate a single number for each climb.

GimmicksMeine

Poster generator

Based on your data RUNALYZE can generate some posters for you. You can choose between a route heatmap, a route grid, circular or calendar.

Logging data

Upload | Import

You can upload your activities in all common formats (*.fit, *.fitlog, *.gpx, *.hrm, *.kml, *.logbook, *.pwx, *.slf, *.sml, *.tcx, *.trk, *.ttbin, *.xml). The binary *.fit format is highly recommended.

FIT file specific data

Importing HRV data, running dynamics, recovery time and more. In the future: Supporting sensor data from BSXInsight, Moxy, cosinuss° One and others.

Export

Export single activities as *.tcx, *.gpx, *.kml or *.fitlog file.

Activities

Heart rate variability (HRV)

Several values and plots are shown for your heart rate variability (as long as it’s available in your files).

Equipment

Record your equipment for any type of sport, e.g. running shoes or bikes.

Race results

You can document your placement at races (in addition to time and distance of course).

Tagging

Tag your activities to easily find them again.

Search

You can search any activity based on various parameters.

Elevation correction

GPS-based elevation data can be corrected via satellite data.

Elevation calculation

You can choose algorithm and settings for how your elevation value is calculated based on the elevation profile (as there is no truth, really).

Weather data

Weather data (temperature, wind speed, wind direction, humdiity & pressure) can be (automatically) recorded for every outdoor activity.

Configuration

Own sport/activity types

Define your own sport and activity types.

Activity overview

You can specify which values show up in the overview of your activities. (Configuration -> Dataset)

Community

Activity overview

You can publish your activities – if you want to. (Click on the chain symbol in the databrowser to open your public profile - if enabled.)

More will come in the future

For now we concentrate on improving the analysis and simplifying the import of activities, but there’s a long list for future features.
